When I need larger floating tenons – especially for outdoor usage I normally create them myself from offcuts. In particular the offcuts from cutting the live edge off a board are well suited for that. For the smaller sizes however the commercially available ones are so cheap (especially if you buy larger quantities) that it doesn’t make sense to produce them yourself.
If you don’t have a domino jointer and still want to use floating tenons check out my articles on a 3D printed jig and a wooden version to create this kind of tenon.
